We celebrated Oktoberfest yesterday during our monthly Family Social! Our amazing and talented dietary department did NOT disappoint. Pork Schnitzel, Speckbohnen (green beans w/ bacon), German potato salad, and apple strudel for dessert! We also had pretzels with craft b**r mustard as a side!

Residents enjoyed non-alcoholic b**rs while family members were treated with some good old fashioned Oktoberfest b**r.

Lake County Public Library visited after the meal to do crafts and our Life Enrichment Department provided extra activites and crafts for everyone to enjoy! On top of all of that, we also celebrated a birthday! So many good things!

A very special and well-deserved THANK YOU to our dietary department for all of their hard work. The food was amazing!

Happy Fall, Y'all!
Autumn is in full swing here at Aviva Merrillville. We had a fun pumpkin and bat craft to help us get into the spirit of the season. Residents enjoyed listening to music while we let our creativity go wild! When we completed our foam crafts, Residents were invited to put them up on their doors or in their rooms so they can be enjoyed for the rest of the autumn season.

Aviva Merrillville was very happy to welcome the Elwood Garden Ukulele Strummers again to play for us! It was so nice seeing these amazing musicians again and to hear their music! Residents enjoyed remembering some classics and singing along to their favorite songs.
Our Life Enrichment Activities Director would like to extend his deepest thanks for this amazing group of musicians. Their musical performance put MANY smiles on MANY faces. Thank you for visiting your friends at Aviva Merrillville.
