Friends of the Merrimac Public Library The Friends of the Merrimac Public Library is a non-profit community organization that promotes the use of and benefits of the library.

All funds raised benefit the library by providing for needs that are not covered by their budget. The Friends of the Merrimac Public Library is a non-profit organization of individuals in the community who value our local library and want to help support its continued growth. We invite other community members to join us.

Fall Craft Fair and Bake Sale
Don’t miss our Fall Craft Fair and Bake Sale on Saturday, October 26 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Stop by to check out handmade items by local artisans and pick up some homemade baked goods too! This indoor event will take place rain or shine. Are you a baker? We welcome donations of clearly labeled and wrapped baked items. Cookies, bars, cupcakes, and treat mixes must be wrapped 3 to 6 per package. Please note nut-free, gluten-free, or sugar-free. Sign up in the library. Email us or check our website for more information. Drop off baked items on Friday, Oct. 25 from 10-2:00 pm, or 6-8:00 pm, or Sat., Oct. 26 between 9-10:00 am.

Merrimac Public Library Fall Book Sale

Mark your calendars for our fall book sale on Saturday, September 14, from 9:00 am-2:00 pm. We are currently accepting donations of books, games, puzzles, CDs and DVDs in good condition. Please drop off donations (in boxes or bags, please) during library hours between Monday, Sept. 2 - Friday, Sept. 13. Book sale preview night held on Friday, Sept. 13 from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm with free admission for library members, $20 for non-members or sign up at the door.

During this one hour presentation, Faye will tell the story of Eleanor Roosevelt. We all know her as the longest-serving First Lady, but she was so much more than that! This program is free to the public.

After the show, there will be time for questions. Refreshments will be served.
