Our linemen have had a remarkably busy day, dealing with outages and branches on wires, and they've been working continuously. A few weeks of our linemen are providing mutual aid to Georgetown Municipal Light to ensure superior reliability.

A tree fell on our wires and snapped a pole, making for a busy night for MMLD linemen. Fortunately, no residents lost power. Can you determine the location from these pictures?

Merrimac Light maintains the trees and other vegetation growing near our electric utility wires. Maintaining trees and vegetation is important because it reduces the chances for power outages during storms and high winds, in addition to general safety reasons.

Happy Friday! We were out putting reminder stickers on doors earlier. Shut offs will take place on Thursday, May 28th. Kindly remit payment before the 28th to avoid shut off. Its the last thing we want to do to anyone. Please call the office with any concerns. We will be closed on Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day. Enjoy the weekend.

12:36 PM - A few residents have reported hearing a loud pop then a subsequent loss of power on West Shore Road. We are aware and our linemen are en route!

At 1:55 PM power has been restored. Please reach out to us at 978-346-8311 if you are still without power.

Our General Manager and General Foreman are attending the Northeast Public Power Rodeo at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, New Hampshire, where various competitions and conferences are being held to discuss all aspects related to electricity.
