π Today, C shift Local 2904 members continued their training at an acquired structure. This invaluable session included crucial skills like fire attack, bail out procedures, search and rescue, and down firefighter drills.
Training like this is vital because it prepares us for real-life emergencies, ensuring we're always ready to respond effectively and safely. Opportunities to train at acquired structures are rare due to lack of training facilities such as this, high call volumes, and budgetary constraints, making today's session even more significant.
We're committed to maintaining our skills at the highest level possible, ensuring that when the community needs us most, we're prepared to deliver the best possible service. Training days like today are a testament to the need of training for the real thing as much as possible. We are forever grateful for the continued support of the community. πͺπ₯

Rumor had it there was a lemonade stand in the area so Engine 1 and Ambulance 1 members took to the road to investigate. Upon arrival, B shift 2904 members found nothing obvious showing from the exterior. Shortly after the crew was informed the lemonade stand was such a success they sold out in an hour! Even though the crew missed out on some lemonade the kids made up for it with good times and laughs while they took a look at the equipment and trucks. Thanks again parents and kids for the impromptu block party!
