And yes, you read that correctly...it says Carrot Cheesecake, which was an amazing 2-in-1 dessert with cheesecake that was topped with a carrot cake that was fully covered with the most perfectly smooth cream cheese frosting and fresh walnuts!

SCHEDULED WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION IN THE AREA OF 67 BACK RIVER RD WEDNESDAY 03/27/2024
On Wednesday, March 27th, the Town of Merrimack’s contractor, CSSI Construction, will be replacing a culvert pipe in the area of 67 Back River Rd which requires MVD to temporarily shut off water in the area. Customers on Back River Rd, Pheasant Run, Ries Dr, as well as areas nearby may experience low water pressure or water loss as well as discoloration of the water. CSSI has informed us that work is scheduled to begin at approximately 8:30 am and will continue until completed. Once completed, MVD will restore water service.

Winter Hydrant Maintenance
Did you know...?
MVD is responsible for maintaining 930 fire hydrants which, during the winter months, includes clearing snow and ice to ensure they remain easily accessible and available for use by the Merrimack Fire Department (MFD) in event of an emergency.
Clearing all the hydrants is a substantially large task and can take a considerable amount of time for MVD to complete as there are only 6 Distribution Field Staff Members to clear all 930 hydrants; all while also completing their normal daily tasks as well as any other scheduled appointments, and any emergencies that may occur also. For this reason, we always encourage anyone that is willing & able to assist MVD by clearing a path from fire hydrants to the street as well as clearing 3 feet from each side of hydrants.
Keeping hydrants accessible during and after storms saves precious time and even could be lifesaving in the event of a fire. We greatly appreciate any and all assistance keeping the community safe!

MVD's Open House at the Well 2 & 9 Treatment Facility held on 09/30/23 was well attended. Commissioners and MVD Staff greeted Town of Merrimack representatives, State representatives, and the public to provide tours of the newly constructed facility as well as answer questions.

Notice of Correction to the Tiered Usage amounts listed on the Rate Change Notification Letter.
Please be advised, the letter mailed with the October 2023 bills listed the Tiered Usage Information as “0 – 3,000 cu ft” and “Over 3,000 cu ft” which is incorrect. The correct Tiered Usage amount is “0–1,000 cu. ft.” and “Over 1,000 cu. ft.”
Please note: This issue ONLY affected customers who receive paper bills. All other notices & links posted on the MVD website and provided through the MVD page were and are correct. Additionally, all customers who receive their bill via text, call, or email received the link to view the notice online which contains the correct Tiered Usage information.
