We will be closed on Wednesday, January 1st for the holiday, but will reopen on Thursday at noon.

The Teen Advisory Board at the Merritt Island Public Library would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season! Don't forget to stop in over break and get some great books and movies!

We're looking forward to hosting some fun programs and contests throughout 2014, so stay tuned for more details--coming soon! :)

We had a great night at our first ever Teen Movie Night! We'll definitely be planning fun future events, so stay tuned!

Also, as a reminder--we'll be having our next Teen Advisory Board meeting this coming Thursday, 11/21, at 5:30pm, and all teens are welcome to attend! We hope to see you there!

Don't forget! FREE event for teens tomorrow!

The Merritt Island Public Library's Teen Advisory Board is hosting its first ever Teen Movie Night this Friday, November 15th, at 6:00pm. We'll be showing the blockbuster movie based on Suzanne Collins's fiery novel, set in a dystopian future where teenage tributes from the Twelve Districts of Panem must compete against each other in a deathly competition. The movie stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson. PG-13.

We will also be having a cupcake decorating contest, a trivia contest, and a ticket drawing--all for a chance to win cool prizes! Snacks and beverages will also be served.

We'd like to announce the first meeting of the Merritt Island Public Library Teen Advisory Board! Any teen interested in participating is welcome to attend the meeting, which will be held here at the library on Thursday, September 26th at 4pm. During this meeting, we'll be electing officers and planning our upcoming activities. Please post in the comments, or call us at 455-1369, as soon as you can to let us know if you'll be able to attend. Yummy refreshments will also be provided--we're definitely looking forward to seeing you there!!! :)
