Are we active citizens reclaiming our power, or passive consumers being fed carefully curated distractions?
In Number Eight of the podcast, we break down how our collective attention is being mined by a handful of corporate monopolies that thrive on division. When we look up from the national outrage machines, the math is simple: it’s 350 million of us against about 30 oligarchic families. Real change isn't downstream from a national commentary booth it's built directly on the pavement.
In this episode, we lay bare:
🔹 The 200-Door Campaign Grind: What Mesa voters actually care about when I show up at their door in 110-degree Arizona heat.
🔹 The Usury Trap & "Mr. Candy Boys": Ripping into the cruelty of a banking system that charges $34 for having exactly $0 and the legendary story of my six-week phone crusade against district manager "Mr. Candy boys" to get overdraft fees reversed.
Support the Troops(*): A critical, raw look at how our society supports returning veterans only "until they come home" inspired by a moving performance by the Devil's Dice independent theater company.
🔹 The Velocity of Money: Why wealth extraction acts like a cancer on the economy, and how bottom-up economics is the rising tide that actually lifts all boats.
🔹 IMAX 70mm & Road Trip Rebellion: Why rounding up your friends and taking a road trip to see Christopher Nolan's newest epic in glorious 70mm is a necessary, radical act of community-building & why defying those in your orbit and embarking on a solo journey to see something the way you want might be exactly what you need to do.
Oh, and Brandon finally "corrects the record" on his private moniker for the President since 2015, featuring a dramatic reading of a 90s classic. I believe you'll be as surprised by it as I was...
We have the numbers, and we have the power to change the variables.

Ever heard of Cargill? Probably not, and that's exactly the problem. It's the largest private corporation in America and it controls 85% of what's in your grocery store. In Number Four, Brian breaks down why that matters and what happens when one company sets the prices on almost everything you eat. Watch full episodes of The BCP on Youtube and Spotify

Your brain can only handle about 150 real relationships at once, that's not an opinion, it's an actual anthropological limit called Dunbar's Number. Brian breaks it down in The BCP Number Six. Full episodes on your Youtube and Spotify machines.

Are our public schools incubators for the next generation of innovators, or just battlegrounds for out-of-state political agitators? 🏫
On The Brian Calaway Podcast Number Seven, Brian and Brandon sit down with Josh Chilton, a dedicated dad, project manager, and candidate for the Mesa Public School Board. Together, they cut through the culture war noise to discuss the real, practical challenges facing our local education system.
We are diving deep into the vital issues that actually impact our kids: 🔹 The reality of the looming $449 million Mesa school bond and the $55M maintenance deficit. 🔹 Why expanding Career Technical Education (CTE) and STEM is essential for the 21st-century economy. 🔹 How to redefine "school choice" so it means finding the right learning environment for every student. 🔹 Standing up to hostile school board agitators and protecting vulnerable students in the classroom. 🔹 Plus, Brian explains why the QWERTY keyboard is secretly holding us all back. ⌨️
It is time to stop letting extreme ideologies dictate our children's futures and start finding real solutions.
Watch/Listen to the premiere of Episode 7 at 5PM PST on Youtube or Spotify.

This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps.

THE BCP Number Six premieres today at 1PM.

Brian and Brandon open with Brian's campaign marketing paying homage to The Big Lebowski and assess John Wick a realism score before landing on the real question of the episode: why has it gotten so hard for two people to find any common ground at all? Along the way: UFC fights on the White House lawn, a familiar Chicago sports meatball makes a cameo, and the credit due to the small business owner who's had to relearn his own business every few years just to survive. Finally, the boys wax on what the Founding Fathers would actually say about 250 years gone and only 17 new amendments.

An administration mouthpiece confirmed a report that he is exploring a presidential run by stating his first priority is deporting 106 million undocumented immigrants. The real number, by the most credible and sane estimates, is around 14 million. So where did 106 million come from? Brian and Brandon trace it back to census data and ask an uncomfortable question about what that number was really signaling.
