Fabulous Franklin Firebirds,
What an incredible year we have had together! This year has been filled with learning, laughter, celebration, and so many moments that remind me just how special our Franklin community truly is. From our school-wide events and family traditions to the everyday victories happening in classrooms, our Firebirds continue to soar.
This year feels especially meaningful to me. Seven years ago, I was given the honor of becoming your principal. This year’s 6th graders were just beginning their journey as kindergartners, and I have had the absolute joy of watching you grow into the young adults you are today. That is something I will carry with me forever.
Franklin East is more than a school—it is a family, a nest filled with support, pride, and love. That is because of each of you. To our incredible staff, thank you for your dedication and heart. To our families, thank you for your trust, partnership, and unwavering support. And to our students—my Firebirds—YOU are the reason this place is so extraordinary.
As many of you know, this will be my final year as your proud principal and Mama Bird. While I am excited for the next chapter ahead, leaving this nest is not easy. This community has shaped me just as much as I hope I have impacted it.
There are never enough words to fully express how much you all mean to me. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journeys, your growth, and your lives over these past seven years.
As we close this chapter, I hope you remember what we have always said… in a world where you can be anything, always be kind, and never forget… Your Mama Bird loves you, and I always will. Ca-Caw Ca-Caw.
