"Support a Marine Veteran and Police Officer Facing an Unimaginable Loss

On the early morning of Sunday, July 13, our family was struck by an unimaginable tragedy. Jason — my beloved stepson, lost his life to su***de.

This devastating loss has shaken us to our core. As we grieve, we are also facing the overwhelming financial burden of funeral expenses, memorial arrangements, and the time needed away from work to mourn, heal, and support each other.

Our family has spent a lifetime serving others—first through military service, then in law enforcement and my wife is going to school to become a counselor. We have always stood strong in the face of danger, never hesitating to protect and help my community. Now, during one of the most painful chapters of our life, we are asking the community to stand with us.

We are humbly seeking your support to help cover:

Funeral and memorial service expenses

Time off work to grieve and be with family

Travel and counseling costs related to this tragedy

Please take a look at the attached Go Fund Me for one of our Sergeant's daughters who was involved in a significant car accident on the 4th of July.

"On July 4th, while driving home after fireworks, our van was T-boned by a full-sized truck. My 10-year-old daughter was in the middle row on the passenger side—the point of impact. She was pinned between the seat and door, freed with the Jaws of Life, and then airlifted for emergency care.

She suffered multiple fractures including:
• Right femur (with rods)
• Right arm bones (rods)
• Right shoulder (pins)
• Left wrist and left hip (2 screws)
• Fractured nose, mouth fractures, and lost teeth

We've been in the ICU and are hoping to discharge soon, but she will be wheelchair-bound for months and will need physical therapy.

Our only family vehicle was totaled. With 24/7 care needed, I’ll miss work to care for her.

We need help with:
• Medical and rehab costs
• Dental surgeries
• A new vehicle
• Lost income
