This is the part of the job you don’t always get to see. ❤️

A teen worked all summer to buy her Homecoming dress, only to have the package delivered to the wrong address and go missing.

Our officers heard what happened and decided to help. They replaced the dress, added a few extra surprises, and then showed up as a squad to deliver it.

Her reaction says it all. 🥹💙

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. 💙

One badge. A lot of possibilities.
Some assignments require an entirely different level of specialized knowledge, equipment, and training.
The Bomb Squad is another example of where experience, training, and continued development can take a law enforcement career.
You don’t have to know exactly where you want to end up.
You just have to start.

On November 7th, our city comes together for G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) a special evening of citywide block parties dedicated to neighborhood connection, pride, and public safety.
As our nation commemorates America’s 250th anniversary, this year's G.A.I.N. night is a powerful opportunity to honor the ideals that have united us for generations. By gathering together, serving one another, and investing in our blocks, we strengthen the local connections that make Mesa vibrant.

Don’t miss out on this long-standing Mesa tradition!
👉 TAKE ACTION: Registration is quick and easy, but it closes on October 24th.

Apparently, one bad decision wasn't enough. 🤦‍♀️
From violating an Order of Protection to taking the poor pup for a ride… and then getting out of the car with a beer in hand. 🍺🐶
Thankfully, our officers were there to safely bring it all to an end. Great job, officers! 👏🚔

🐾 National Dog Day Spotlight: K9 Nicole! 🐾

This National Dog Day, we’re celebrating one very good girl whose incredible nose has made a BIG impact at the Mesa Police Department. 💙🐕‍🦺

K9 Nicole has served with Mesa PD since 2020 as a single-purpose narcotics detection K9 assigned to the Organized Crime/Narcotics/Interdiction/USPIS Unit. She works alongside our officers and assists local, state and federal partners, including the FBI, HSI, DEA, ATF and USPIS.

Since joining the department, Nicole has been deployed hundreds of times. Her positive alerts have helped lead to the seizure of approximately:

🔹 1,236 lbs. of fentanyl
🔹 1,042 lbs. of ma*****na
🔹 1,978 lbs. of methamphetamine
🔹 250 lbs. of co***ne
🔹 45 lbs. of he**in
🔹 9.9 lbs. of ketamine
🔹 52 lbs. of steroids
💵 More than $3 million in U.S. currency
🚔 Plus vehicles and residences connected to investigations

That’s one powerful nose! 🐾

Today, we’re proud to recognize K9 Nicole for her years of dedicated service, her incredible partnership with law enforcement agencies across the country, and the important role she plays in keeping dangerous drugs out of our communities.

Happy National Dog Day to K9 Nicole and all the hardworking four-legged partners who serve alongside us! 🐕‍🦺💙

Drop a 🐾 in the comments to show Nicole some love!

Specialized training. High-risk incidents. A team built around preparation, discipline, and trust.
SWAT represents one of the many paths officers can pursue as they gain experience and develop their skills at Mesa PD.
Your first assignment is only the beginning.
