The new Performing Arts Center is a multi-purpose facility designed to accommodate the wide range of performances of MCC’s talented music, dance, and Theatre programs. Re-imagined to fit the needs of MCC, the large theatre holds 462 seats, performance classrooms, music practice rooms, faculty offices, and the scene shop. Welcome to the Team! Glen Sears

Glen is excited to be joining the Performing Arts Facilities team on August 17th as the new Technical Director in the Performing Arts Center.

He has spent the last 7 years at SCC as the Technical Director of the Scottsdale School of Film+Theatre and the PAC. He moved to Arizona from the east coast in 2015 to work at Arizona Broadway Theatre as their Technical Director. Glen worked in Philadelphia, PA at the Walnut Street Theatre as the Properties Master for 13 years and then 2 years as Technical Director. Walnut Street Theatre is the oldest playhouse in continuous use in the english-speaking world and one of the last few "h**p houses" still in use today. Glen was also a member of IATSE local 8 where he worked many concerts and live events in Philadelphia. Growing up in the Boston area he has worked for such companies as Huntington Theatre Company, Boston Ballet, Boston Symphony, American Repertory Theatre, and more. He also built the props for Disney cruise lines first 2 ships the Magic and the Wonder with Mystic Scenic. Glen has also competed in robot battle shows like Battlebots and Robot Wars. In his spare time he likes to work on vintage vehicles and spend time with his family.
