AMR Central Arizona was honored this past week to support Banner Health in Glendale along with the city’s first responders and the Phoenix Suns as a new vision for patient care was unveiled in the West Valley. 🚑 🏥 🏀

The team put the final touches on an expansion of their emergency department at Thunderbird Hospital, including a fully renovated patient care area.

This significant project will greatly enhance emergency services, including pediatrics, to better serve the growing healthcare needs of the western Phoenix metropolitan area.

AMR is proud to be a long-standing partner of Banner Health, the Glendale Fire Department and Glendale Police Department.

We can’t wait to see the positive impacts this expansion has on the community for years to come!

Today at AMR Central Arizona, we celebrate the end of National Telecommunicator Week.

This week has been filled with laughter, jokes, and plenty of hugs for our amazing dispatch team — the dedicated professionals who answer the call every single day.

Answering the call means so much more than picking up the phone. It means helping a nervous father deliver his new baby boy in a remote area of Pinal County. It means giving a dad in cardiac arrest a second chance at life with his three children by his side. It means coordinating a lifesaving interfacility transfer so a grandmother can receive a critical blood transfusion and still be there to celebrate her upcoming birthday with her family.

These are the voices and faces behind the calls — the ones who stay up through the long nights, working every holiday, birthday, and anniversary so they can be there when someone else needs them most.

They are our “first” first responders. They are the calm steady voice when duty calls.

Our entire medical team could not do what we do without you.

To every dispatcher and call-taker: thank you. Thank you for your sacrifice, your skill, and your selfless dedication to our community.

What you do isn’t just a job — it’s a true calling.

We are a better, stronger team because of you.

March is off to a busy start with the hard working frontline personnel at AMR Central Arizona. 🏥 🚑 🇺🇸

Several employees were honored recently by the leadership team including Adam Yarlott, Brian Ramey, Whitney Gilhart, and Brittan Bobby for saving the lives of their patients during cardiac emergencies.

Other employees, including Aaron Lingle, Dennis “Lee” Wilson, Kyle Logan, Anthony Tinsley, and Sarah Carter were honored as employees of the month or for service awards stretching between 5 and 35 years of service with the company.

The hard working dedication of this team is second to none and we are proud to be represented by our people each and every day providing care to the world at a moments notice.

Thank you for all you do.

AMR Arizona personnel were able to provide the greatest of all honors this past Saturday accompanying Arizona Department of Public Safety Trooper Paramedic Hunter Bennett in his final journey. Hunter, along with Arizona DPS Pilot Robert Sk***ey, both lost their lives in the line of duty on Wednesday, February 4 when responding to an incident in Flagstaff.

Hunter worked for AMR Central Arizona's operations in Pinal County and was described as hardworking, humorous and a passionate team member who always had a smile on his face. Hunter dreamed of being a technical rescue paramedic and accomplished his goals after being promoted to an Air Rescue Paramedic with the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Our condolences go out to the families and friends of Hunter and Robert. We thank them both for their service and sacrifice to the citizens of Arizona.

For the fourth year, AMR Central Arizona proudly carried on our Lights of Love tradition—spreading holiday cheer and comfort to children spending the season in the hospital.

These special moments wouldn’t be possible without our incredible teams, our main partner Banner Health and the support of local first responders, law enforcement and community partners like Mesa Chamber of Commerce, State Forty Eight, Arizona Diamondbacks and Phoenix Suns.

Wishing all kids in hospital care a speedy recovery—you’ve got a whole community standing behind you!
