Halloween is all about fun, but the most important treat is getting home safely! Before you head out for a night of trick-or-treating, remember:
1. Look Twice: Look left, right, then left again before crossing, even when you have the light.
2. Be Seen: Wear reflective materials or carry a flashlight when it’s dark.
3. Stick Together: Young children should always cross the street with an adult.
4. Walk Safely: If there’s no sidewalk, walk facing traffic and as far to the left as possible.
5. Walk, Don’t Run: Take your time when crossing in a crosswalk.
Parents, take a minute to review these tips with your little trick-or-treaters before heading out. Have fun, stay visible, and make it home safe!

Happy World Teachers’ Day! MesaMoves is proud to support the incredible teachers who inspire the next generation of thinkers, problem-solvers, and community leaders.
To celebrate, we’re providing free STEM Kits designed to align with the MPS 4th grade circuits curriculum. These hands-on kits give students an engaging way to explore how circuits work while connecting STEM learning to an important real-world topic: pedestrian safety.
October is Pedestrian Safety Month, making it the perfect time to spark curiosity in the classroom and help students learn how science and engineering can play a role in keeping our communities safe.
Thank you, teachers, for everything you do to help our students learn, grow, and make a difference!
