Give a warm welcome to HandsOn's new AmeriCorps VISTA Program Manager, Brenda Vargas! 🌟

Brenda's national service journey began with Teach for America, where she served as a middle school social studies teacher at Chicago Public Schools. She has also worked in legal services, voter engagement, and community outreach, all of which have reinforced her passion for building strong relationships and creating meaningful community impact.

We are thrilled to have Brenda join the HandsOn team and support our AmeriCorps VISTA team! 🩵

Last week we said a fond farewell to our AmeriCorps VISTA Program Manager, Epiphany Jones!

Epiphany spent the past two years supporting and further enhancing our AmeriCorps VISTA program. She provided superior mentorship to our VISTA team and host sites supervisors, fiercely advocated for the needs of our members, and invested time and energy into improving administrative processes. Her dedication to the program and commitment to her work, paired with her wonderful personality and positive energy made Epiphany a joy to work alongside.

We are grateful for all Epiphany has contributed to HandsOn and AmeriCorps! While our staff will miss her kindness, warmth, and genuine care for others, we wish her all the best in her new role! We know no matter where life takes her, she will continue to make our community a better place.
