The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect until 10PM MDT this evening.

RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND DRY FUELS.

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect until 8 PM MDT this evening. A Red Flag Warning has also been issued from noon to 8 PM MDT Saturday.

* TIMING For the first Red Flag Warning, until 8 PM MDT this evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from noon to 8 PM MDT Saturday.

* WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8 to 13 percent.

* IMPACTS...Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution.

The Plateau Valley Fire Protection District is seeking a dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team! If you’re passionate about serving your community, working in a close-knit department we want to hear from you.

About Us: The Plateau Valley Fire Protection District is a combination department that responds to approximately 400–450 calls for service each year. Our service area covers 797 square miles. The district provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) services, along with structure fire and wildland fire response.

Position: Firefighter/Paramedic
Location: Plateau Valley (Mesa, Molina and Collbran area)
Department Type: Combination agency (career & volunteer)
