Horne in Mesa, is one of the first Charter Schools in Arizona. We serve Kindergarten through 12th grades, which enable our students and siblings to attend one school throughout their developmental years. to working together with families, communities, teachers and staff to bring your children the best in education. Sequoia Elementary strives to be a structured, well-rounded academic program, taught by caring Highly Qualified teachers in partnership with families. Sequoia’s 7-12 programs are academically rigorous, based on the National Common Core Standards. We offer tutoring programs for students that need extra assistance, in keeping with our philosophy that "Every Child is Known". Sequoia School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing serves Kindergarten through 12th grades on our campus. SSDHH's faculty and staff consist of highly qualified and skilled deaf and hearing instructors who educate and prepare students to succeed in both the hearing and Deaf worlds. We have a thriving elective program that includes art, choir, instrumental music, drama, martial arts, journalism, Spanish, American Sign Language and more. In addition to our comprehensive face to face program, we offer some online options, including opportunities for students to earn college credit. We are also extremely proud of our growing sports program, which continues to impress the community by winning titles and making a name for Sequoia Charter School.
