🌊 Dive-In Movie: Know Before You Go
Before heading to City Lake Aquatic Center, review the following event information:

β€’ Parking is available at the locations shown on the parking map.
β€’ Event gates open at 6:45 p.m.
β€’ Event fees: Ages 2 and under: Free, Residents: $2, Non-residents: $4
β€’ Early arrival is encouraged. Capacity is limited to the first 500 attendees, and lines are expected.
β€’ Free toys will be available while supplies last.
β€’ Bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy Finding Nemo at dusk.
β€’ Stop by the information booth to guess Marlin's Fish Egg Count. The winner will be announced at 8:30 p.m.
β€’ Concessions will be available for purchase.

🌳 Mesquite is growing greener every year!

For the 36th consecutive year, the City of Mesquite has been recognized as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to urban forestry and environmental stewardship.

Since launching its Urban Forestry Program in 1988, Mesquite has planted more than 31,000 trees throughout the community, helping improve air quality, reduce heat, and enhance quality of life for residents.

Heads up: City Lake Aquatic Center will be closed to the public on Friday, June 12 and Friday, July 10 due to special events. Dive-In Movie will be held on June 12, followed by Luau at the Lake on July 10. Event gates will open at 6:45 p.m. on both dates.

🍩 Last week, Outdoor Adventure campers celebrated National Donut Day at Rorie-Galloway Day Camp! Summer adventures are just getting started. Campers in Kindergarten through 5th grade can enjoy activities such as ziplining, kayaking, climbing, nature walks, and more. 🌳

"Just keep swimming..." 🐟 Dive-In Movie returns to City Lake Aquatic Center on Friday, June 12 at 7:00 p.m. Attendees can swim, enjoy concessions for purchase, and watch Finding Nemo poolside at dusk. Admission is $2 for residents, $4 for non-residents, and free for ages 2 and under.

During her 21 years with Mesquite Parks and Recreation, Tan served in a variety of roles, including Recreation Specialist, Recreation Supervisor, and Athletics Supervisor. Her dedication and contributions have made a lasting impact on the department and the community.

Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast, Walking for Wellness has been canceled.

While the event will not take place as planned, everyone is encouraged to explore the Heritage Trail at a later date and enjoy the benefits of walking and the outdoors. We look forward to celebrating National Trails Day next year on Saturday, June 5, 2027.
