Please note that the Lafitte Library will be closed on Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, as the Lafitte Seafood Festival surrounds the facility. Enjoy a taste of the bayou and the Gulf, plus all the feast for the ears on the music stages, and visit this branch location again on Monday, June 1.

Join us for a night of nostalgic '90s time travel at two after-hours adults-only 90's Night parties on both sides of the river:

This past week at the Jefferson Parish Libraries, we brought teen crafts, mah-jong games, homeschool activities, and technology classes to our patrons across the parish. Here’s a series of snapshots from select events:

🎨 Teens upcycled broken records into art during their Paint & Sip hour in the East Bank Regional Teen Center.

🀄 We have mah-jong at multiple branches! Come play American mah-jong at East Bank Regional, Wagner, and Rosedale branches. Hong Kong mahjong is available at River Ridge. Pictured here are American mah-jong enthusiasts playing at East Bank Regional.

⛏️ Geology rocks! Homeschoolers visited East Bank Regional for Homeschooler Hour where they participated in a geology-themed reading followed by a rock activity!

💻 Patrons took computer and social media basics courses. See the technology class listing on our website for more classes!
