Created in October of 2005, Project Fleur-de-lis (PFDL) began as an intermediate and long-term school-based mental health service model for youth exposed to traumatic events in the Greater New Orleans area following Hurricane Katrina. Today, Project Fleur-de-lis is a collaborative program linking local social service agencies, schools, nationally recognized researchers, program developers, and cli
nicians in a coordinated effort to provide state-of-the-art mental health services within our schools and community. Project Fleur-de-lis is designed to provide direct services and to build capacity by utilizing resources currently within school communities and by partnering with other service providers.
