JP Schools 💛 Wear Yellow for Childhood Cancer Awareness 💛

On Wednesday, September 9, we’re encouraging all students and staff to wear yellow shirts, bows, pins, socks, or other creative touches to show support.

Let’s stand together in solidarity with children across the state and with our own students who are courageously battling cancer every day.

Governor Jeff Landry has proclaimed this day as Childhood Cancer Awareness Day in Louisiana.

We are together! 💙

🌱 ¿Por qué cambian los seres vivos? 🤔
​Esa es la gran pregunta de nuestra nueva unidad en primer grado con la Señora Galdámez. Para descubrirlo, hoy iniciamos nuestro experimento: pusimos un frijolito en un botecito de vidrio con algodón y agua cerquita de la ventana. 🫘☀️💧
​¡Acompañanos las próximas semanas a ver si germina y cómo va cambiando! ✨

🌱 Why do living things change? 🤔
​That is the big question for our new first-grade unit with Ms. Galdámez! To find out, today we started our bean germination experiment: a little glass jar, a piece of cotton, a bean, and some water right by the window. 🫘☀️💧
​Join us over the next few weeks as we watch it change and see if it sprouts! ✨
