✨ Daniela – Training Grounds Directora de We Play Center.

✨ Maryury – Families Helping Families of Greater New Orleans

✨ Claire – Autism Society of Greater New Orleans
📧 [email protected]

✨ Jessica – Jefferson Parish Library

💙 Behind every great event are people with incredibly big hearts.

I would like to introduce some of the amazing individuals who made our very first Connecting with Autism event possible—an event created to provide information, resources, and hope to Spanish-speaking families in our community.

✨ Daniela – Training Grounds | Director of the We Play Center

Through inclusive programs and learning opportunities, Daniela helps children develop important skills while supporting families as they grow together. Training Grounds also offers a free Spanish-speaking support group for parents of children under the age of five with autism.

✨ Jessica – WIC & Lactation Consultant

In addition to helping families access WIC benefits and supporting mothers as a lactation consultant, Jessica shared her personal journey as the mother of a child with autism. Her story provided hope, valuable information, and encouragement to families who are just beginning this journey.

✨ Daniela Bello – Cross Cultural Coordinator, Jefferson Parish Government

My role is to connect minority communities—especially those who do not speak English—with the programs and services offered by Jefferson Parish Government. I also develop projects and community initiatives that improve residents’ quality of life, build partnerships with nonprofit organizations, and help connect families with the resources they need.

✨ Maryury – Families Helping Families of Greater New Orleans

The mission of Families Helping Families is to empower families of children and adults with disabilities by providing information, guidance, training, and support so they understand their rights and can access available services and resources.

📧 [email protected]

📞 504-888-9111 (Ask for Maryury or another Spanish-speaking staff member.)

✨ Claire – Autism Society of Greater New Orleans

The Autism Society of Greater New Orleans supports individuals with autism and their families by connecting them with resources, educational opportunities, support groups, and programs that help them live full and meaningful lives.

The organization also offers:

* A free Spanish-speaking support group for parents.
* An annual $200 Mini-Grant Program to help purchase qualifying items for individuals with autism.
* Inclusive community events and festivals for children and their families.

If you have questions, you may email the organization in English or Spanish, and Claire or a member of her team will gladly help guide you through the process.

✨ Jessica – Jefferson Parish Library

Thanks to Jessica’s support, we were able to provide a welcoming space for families. She coordinated the children’s sensory activities while parents attended the presentations.

Jefferson Parish Libraries offer much more than books—they provide educational programs, activities for all ages, and free resources for the entire community.

💙 Thank you for believing in the importance of educating, informing, and supporting our families.

❤️ When organizations work together, more people learn about the resources available, and no family has to walk this journey alone.
