Due to the severe weather conditions coming in at 3:00 PM, we are going to cancel the 4th-6th grade camp today, June 17....

Due to the severe weather conditions coming in at 3:00 PM, we are going to cancel the 4th-6th grade camp today, June 17. We will extend the 4th-6th grade camp on Thursday to run from 2:30-4:00 PM.

We are going to shorten the 7th-8th grade camp today, June 17. We will run camp from 1:00 PM-2:15 PM. If you feel it is unsafe to attend, we completely understand!

We apologize for the unfortunate circumstances. Please have campers wear their camp shirts on Thursday. If you did not receive one yesterday, you will get it tomorrow when you come to camp.

Huge congratulations are in order for the Metamora Township High School Clay Target Team for a phenomenal showing at the State Tournaments! These athletes brought their A-game, shattered targets, and represented MTHS with incredible skill and focus.

Check out these massive achievements:

🎯 TRAP STATE TOURNAMENT
The team fought hard in a highly competitive field, bringing home an impressive 4th-place finish statewide with a stellar score of 472/500 clays (just 4 targets away from 3rd!).

Top Individual Finishes:

Easton Karcher: 7th Place Overall – 98/100 clays 🏆

Koby Karcher: 9th Place Overall – 98/100 clays 🏆

An absolutely dominant performance on the sporting clays course earned MTHS the title of State Runner-Up with a 2nd Place Team Finish (380/500 clays)! 🥈

Let’s give a massive Redbird round of applause to the one, the only, Mike Brockhouse! Mike is the 2026 Metamora Township High School Teacher of the Year!

For years, Mike has been the calm, brave soul in the passenger seat, teaching generations of Redbirds how to safely navigate the roads as our beloved Driver’s Ed instructor.

🛑 A Well-Deserved Honor (and a New Destination!)
This award is incredibly special because this school year marks Mike’s final lap. He will be retiring at the end of the year, trading in the dual-brake passenger seat for some well-deserved open roads and relaxation.

🚨 FREE Summer Meals for Kids & Teens! 🚨Metamora families, we want to share a fantastic resource available to our community this summer through the Woodford County Health Department's USDA SUN Meals To-Go program! This is a wonderful way to ensure all children in our district stay fed, healthy, and energized through the summer months.

☀️ Program Highlights
14 FREE Nutritious Meals: Each child receives breakfast and lunch for every day of the week.

No Income Requirements: This program is open to ALL children and teens ages 1–18, REGARDLESS OF INCOME.

Convenient Pickup: Meals are distributed just once a week via a quick drive-thru.

Girls' Tennis Camp is cancelled for today, Monday, June 8th due to weather. The courts are currently very wet, which makes for dangerous, slippery conditions. The rest of the week looks very promising! We will use our rain date on Friday, 6/11 to make up for today's cancellation. See everyone tomorrow on the courts!
