Congratulations to Yarmely & Adalia who are graduating from Haverhill High School; Rachell who is graduating from Lawrence High School; Roany who is graduating from Abbott Lawrence Academy and to Yeison, Abigail, Jalianny, Deybi & Adriana who are all graduating from Methuen High School. Our residents took to the sunshine at our Memorial Day Party & Cookout in May. A great time was had by all as we enjoyed burgers & dogs fresh off the grill, corn on the cob, pasta & potato salads & a few surprises. Happy Memorial Day, Happy Spring & Happy Days to come this Summer at The Woods!

Chef Sean’s Adventist Taco Salad was a welcomed healthy option for this afternoon’s lunch. Straight out of the Blue Zone Living cook book, it combines tortilla chips, salad greens, onion, tomato, avocado & ground plant-based “beef.” Served with salsa on the side, this dish was delish 😋

This week’s Iced Tea Social on the Patio provided light refreshments while lightening our moods as we soaked up the sun & got to know our neighbors. Life is good at The Woods.

Residents enjoyed a day on the town on Friday visiting an old haunt in a brand new, beautiful location. Long-time favorite T-Bones opened at a new spot & did not disappoint. Beautiful artwork & decor didn’t distract us too much from their delicious, freshly-prepared comfort food classics. Thanks to resident, Kate M., for her help in arranging this pleasant afternoon. Our Men’s Group enjoyed some bonding over burritos, tacos & chimichangas at local Mexican Restaurant El Potro this week. From humble beginnings in Somerville, MA, the Methuen location makes 6 restaurants owned by the family. What a festive and delicious outing for our guys.

1 potato, 2 potato, baked potato. Residents were treated to a comfort classic for lunch this week. Our potatoes were smothered in chili, bacon, shredded cheese & scallions. Mmmm, mmmm, good!
