With the warm weather we had this past week, we have received calls regarding dogs being left in hot cars.

As the summer weather approaches, we want to remind everyone that temperatures in cars rise rapidly in your vehicle even with the windows rolled down. A "quick" trip to the store with your dog can be fatal.

The temperature of the inside of your vehicle on a 90-degree day in just 10 minutes can rise to 109 degrees.

A 5 to 10-minute trip into a store, bank, or coffee shop can lead to unexpected delays, leaving your pet in your vehicle longer than intended.

For your pets' safety, please keep them at home and do not leave them unattended in your vehicle, as prevention is always the best.

These dogs were found running loose on the Methuen Rail Trail near Railroad Street and Union Street on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026.

This little pup was found on Broadway at Oakland Avenue. Was found with no collar and microchip.

We have amazing news to share. We were just told that Rusty was found and now safe and back home with his family.

Rusty is still missing from the Tyler Street/Myrtle Street area. He is not familiar with the area and is in flight mode.

He is so panicked he wont go to anyone, not even his owner.

We are asking anyone who sees Rusty to completely ignore him and call the number below. Please do not call out to him or approach as he will bolt and we do not want to push him further away.

He's was last seen on the Dracut Methuen line. We are with holding the exact address as we dont want anyone trying to catch him. A feeding station is going to be set up to see if he keeps coming back.

If he keeps coming back then we can set a trap.

Rusty was found safe and is now back home.

Has anyone seen this dog? Rusty went missing from the area of Tyler Street at Myrtle Street on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, and is not familiar with the area.

We have been told he is very fast and can be skiddish so please do not approach call out or chase.
