As we celebrate Juneteenth and reflect on the moments that have brought our community together, we invite you to revisit this special event from 2024 featuring Dr. Opal Lee, the "Grandmother of Juneteenth."

This inspiring visit was made possible through the efforts of the NAACP Metuchen Edison Area Branch, our members, community partners, and the leadership of Reginald Johnson. Dr. Lee's message of freedom, perseverance, and civic engagement left a lasting impact on all who attended.

Thank you to Piscataway Public Library for sharing this wonderful video and helping preserve this important piece of our community's history.
