The weather finally feels like we've entered the growing season. Dig up seeds from our Seed Library to help sprout your garden of any size! Anyone is welcome to donate or take seeds - just visit our repurposed card catalog for guidelines, related books and a great variety of seeds!

Whether you love gardening or prefer to read about other people doing it, your North Country libraries have what you need. (Even tools you can borrow!)

Pop up sale today, Saturday, June 6th, while we are open (9:30am-12:30pm). Fill a bag from our fully stocked lobby shelves and create a summer bucket list - all supplies provided!

Join us for Books for Breakfast Book Club at 9:30 this morning or stop in to browse our new book selection! You can put items on hold using our online card catalog, the NCLS app or you are welcome to call us (315-963-3012) with any questions.

Additionally, the Oswego County Health Dept Wellness Tour is making an appearance at the library today 10:30-11:30 with loads of helpful information and resources.

Many in our community are feeling layers of loss and grief right now. Nothing can take that away, but we can all try to make the days more manageable.

The library can offer help in two simple but significant ways:
encouraging supportive interactions and finding comfort in books.
We are a gathering place, a corner hub in our community, and we love being a place where people meet and spend time together. We have been developing a special collection of books to support people of all ages cope with grief, loss, the healing process and emotional wellness.

One of the most impactful books I've read, that is accessible for all ages, is The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy. It's simplicity and tenderness offer a comforting hold in the overwhelming vastness often referred to as life.
