Audrain Ambulance District

We were able to help support the FIFA World Cup in Kansas City. EMS operations in Audrain Ambulance District’s response area remained fully operational during this time. This participation was provided at no cost to Audrain Ambulance District. Our agency was one of many that was utilized to facilitate care and transport of patients to the hospital. Audrain Ambulance was also utilized in the 911 system.

Large-scale events of this magnitude require coordinated regional response to ensure the safety of communities during these events. Our participation reflects the long-standing commitment of emergency medical services working together through mutual aid whenever resources are needed.

This type of opportunity does not happen often. Organizational learning and growth, operational capability, and strengthening of community are just a few of the benefits brought back to Audrain County.

We want to thank the Kansas City Fire Department for their welcoming hospitality. Your professionalism and kindness will be remembered.

Also, this would not be possible without the commitment of the staff that remained at home to continue serving and protecting.

We are experiencing a high volume of requests for service today. We are taking the calls as they come to us-prioritizing the urgent. We will respond to your request as soon as avaulable. We are also utilizing mutual aid. Mutual Aid is when a resource from another agency responds to help with calls. We hope everyone has a great and SAFE time celebrating the holiday. Each day, I am truly amazed at what we are able to accomplish. Not everyday is good-not all are bad. We have endured our share of bad calls, but we have also endured many calls that bring joy to the world.

With the help of the local dispatchers, fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and countless other departments we encounter, we are able to accomplish great things.

Our families shower us with support and without them, our days would be dark and grim.

Our communities continue to support our mission.

To the wonderful staff at Audrain Ambulance District: We see you in the hard days, good days, and everything in between. It is easy to forget about the unseen hours you pour into your passion. Your tireless commitment to providing high-quality healthcare to our community is unmatched. It is a pleasure to work with you. I want to express my deepest gratitude for everything you do. Severe weather continues to be expected this afternoon and evening. All severe hazards (large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes) will be possible. However, large hail will be the primary threat during initial stages of storm development, with damaging winds becoming more likely as storms congeal into lines or clusters. Isolated tornadoes are also possible, especially if storms remain discrete. Stay weather aware today!
