We had a great visit from some Mexico HS students! We truly appreciate you thinking of us and taking the time to bring cookies for Ty Lou’s day of service.

We were able to provide standby coverage for Octoberfest in Martinsburg this past Sunday. In the process, lots of hands only CPR and choking techniques were provided. The two performing CPR just kept coming back. One of the young men, per his Father, could not wait to show his CPR skills. Thank you Denean and Tim for spending some of your Sunday educating our youth!

Sometimes things get tough. Sometimes we don't know. Be ok with asking the hard questions. Build your circle with people that will ask the hard questions. Check on your people!

Public Notice: EMS/Fire Training Drill at Community R-VI School District

Date: Wednesday, August 5, 2026

Time: 12:30 PM – Approximately 3:00 PM

Community members are advised that an EMS/Fire training drill will take place at the Community R-VI School on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, beginning at 12:30 PM and concluding at approximately 3:00 PM.

During this exercise, several EMS and fire agencies will be on-site conducting a simulated emergency response involving a school bus. Residents may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles and personnel in the area. This is only a training exercise, and there is no actual emergency.

Please note that the school bus being used in the drill has been permanently removed from transportation service and is no longer usable for student transit.

We appreciate your understanding as local emergency responders participate in this important training to enhance coordination and preparedness.

We were able to help support the FIFA World Cup in Kansas City. EMS operations in Audrain Ambulance District’s response area remained fully operational during this time. This participation was provided at no cost to Audrain Ambulance District. Our agency was one of many that was utilized to facilitate care and transport of patients to the hospital. Audrain Ambulance was also utilized in the 911 system.

Large-scale events of this magnitude require coordinated regional response to ensure the safety of communities during these events. Our participation reflects the long-standing commitment of emergency medical services working together through mutual aid whenever resources are needed.

This type of opportunity does not happen often. Organizational learning and growth, operational capability, and strengthening of community are just a few of the benefits brought back to Audrain County.

We want to thank the Kansas City Fire Department for their welcoming hospitality. Your professionalism and kindness will be remembered.

Also, this would not be possible without the commitment of the staff that remained at home to continue serving and protecting.

Thank you all!

Happy 4th of July! As always, we ask that you have a great time and celebrate safely. Please make sure you hydrate and watch out for each other.

We are experiencing a high volume of requests for service today. We are taking the calls as they come to us-prioritizing the urgent. We will respond to your request as soon as avaulable. We are also utilizing mutual aid. Mutual Aid is when a resource from another agency responds to help with calls. We hope everyone has a great and SAFE time celebrating the holiday. Please keep in mind to utilize 911 services for emergencies. For all non-emergency request, you can call 573-473-5800.
