Join the movement! The town of Mexico is leading the charge in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States with a monumental event, and we invite you to be a part of it! Community Footprints 👣 , along with Marilla Easter Couch, is partnering with us to build an event committee that's representative of our community's spirit. We're looking for 5-7 dedicated adults from across the River Valley to bring their passion and ideas to the table.

Soap Making Workshop: Thursday, March 12th 1-3 pm at Mexico Public Library. Karolyne Sloma from Pixie Elegance will be here to walk you through the soap making. $5.00 per person paid on the day of the workshop. You will get some of the soap. Class is for people ages 16 and above. You must sign up ahead of time- please call me at the library: 207-364-3281. You may leave a message on the phone with your phone number. Only 6-8 people, so call soon.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT- because most everyone did! The early snowfalls in December have resulted in the postponement of the first attempt at the Annual Christmas Open House, and basically no one showing up during the second attempt! SO- the first time you come in to the library between now and when I am closing for Christmas you can still get a free book, a 2026 calendar and one of Santa's candy canes! Come in to say hello!

Santa Claus has also had to deal with a lot of snow so the Open House will be postponed until Wednesday, December 10th from 1-4:30. Santa is planning to arrive shortly after 3 pm. Sorry for the delay.

Mexico Public Library is having a Christmas Open House tomorrow- December 3rd from 1-4:30 PM! Santa Claus is scheduled to be here shortly after 3 PM! There will be crafts, snacks, and free books available. IF I NEED TO POSTPONE IT- (which is a possibility if the storm stalls or Santa is unavailable because of today's storm) it will be announced here and on the Town of Mexico page. Thank you for your understanding!

Come in to the Mexico Public Library to meet Ms. Frizzle. Ms. Frizzle is visiting the library till 3 today. All kids get a free book and if they are in costume they will get 2 books.
