🌎 That's a wrap on IMEX America 2026!

Christian Jaramillo, Associate Director of Sales, and Jay DeJesus, Senior Sales Manager at the Miami Beach Convention Center, recently attended IMEX America 2026 in Las Vegas alongside the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau team!

Held October 13–15 at Mandalay Bay, this year's event brought together meeting and event professionals from around the world for three days of networking, education, and business opportunities.

Throughout the event, Christian and Jay connected with industry partners, meeting planners, and event professionals while showcasing the MBCC and all that Miami Beach has to offer for meetings, conventions, and special events. They also participated in a hosted buyer lunch at the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) booth, providing another opportunity to connect with industry professionals.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Booth C4516 to connect with our team, and to the City of Miami Beach, Oak View Group, and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau for their continued partnership and support. We look forward to continuing these conversations and welcoming future events to Miami Beach!

♻️💚 Giving Back Through Our Conventions C.A.R.E. Program!

Following Sibos 2026 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, a large amount of furniture was donated to The Education Fund - Miami through our Conventions C.A.R.E. (Community Assistance by Responsible Events) program!

By donating furniture instead of sending it to landfills, we can extend the life of reusable materials, reduce event waste, and conserve the resources that would otherwise be needed to produce new items. These efforts support a more circular approach to event sustainability while making a positive impact on our local community.

A big thank you to Sibos for donating these items, The Education Fund for accepting and picking up the furniture, and our Public Safety and Venue Operations teams for their hard work moving and preparing the items for donation!

🚒🔥 Fire safety starts with education!

The Miami Beach Convention Center is proud to host the 39th Annual Children's Fire Safety Festival, taking place October 13–15!

Throughout the three-day event, elementary school students from across Miami-Dade County are learning important fire prevention and emergency response skills through interactive activities, including Stop, Drop and Roll, home fire safety, and how to call 911.

A special thank you to Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner for joining us, and to the Miami Beach Fire Department, Fire Chief Digna Abello, the Miami Burn Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and the City of Miami Beach Department of Parks, Facilities, Fleet and Beaches for organizing and supporting this important event.

We also thank the participating fire rescue agencies from across Miami-Dade County for helping educate the next generation about fire safety!

We’re proud to share that the Miami Beach Convention Center has been recognized with the 2026 Distinctive Achievement Award from Association Conventions & Facilities magazine.

The annual awards recognize convention centers and destinations that meet the high standards of association meeting planners, with winners selected based on ballots cast by meeting professionals across the industry.

For convention centers, the award considers key areas including superior service and support, assistance with event planning and site inspections, coordination with suppliers and local partners, and outstanding communication.

🌎 Sibos 2026 in Action at the Miami Beach Convention Center!

The week is underway with a full schedule of programming, innovation, and networking.

Centered around this year’s theme, “Digital finance for AI-driven economies,” the program features more than 250 sessions examining the trends and technologies transforming the financial industry.

Attendees are experiencing highlights including the AI Pavilion, Innotribe, Discover Perfect Pitch, the Swift Hackathon, and Policy Lab, along with an expansive exhibition floor showcasing organizations and solutions from across the global financial ecosystem.
