El artista contemporáneo Lino E. We cordially invite you to the opening reception of Yochi Y. Avin's exhibition titled "Loose Ends and Other Repairs." The event will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sardiñas Gallery, St. Thomas University. We hope to see you there!

Yochi Avin’s work is an ongoing exploration of memory—its fragility, persistence, and transformation over time. She is drawn to the ways personal and collective histories are layered, inherited, deconstructed, and reassembled, creating visible traces that linger between presence and absence. Working across painting, fiber art, photography, installation, and performance, Avin often combines sheer fabrics, faded photographs, reflective surfaces, and thread with industrial or weathered materials, producing spaces where intimacy and endurance intersect. Her processes of stitching, layering, and image transfer treat memory as a tactile, living material—capable of being fragmented, reconstructed, and transformed.
