What We Offer

The library motivates children, as well as adults, to develop good reading habits and skills through various programs and events. Ongoing functions include weekly story time for children of all ages, programs to encourage reading and library participation, puppet shows, book clubs, garden and sewing clubs, guest and author presentations, cultural arts and music series and art exhibi

ts. Seasonal and holiday programs are also presented throughout the year with stories, films, puppet shows, arts and crafts and guest appearances. Our library staff is committed to providing you with a high level of professional and personal service. The library keeps its shelves filled with best sellers, works by popular authors, a well-balanced collection of fiction and non-fiction books, magazines and newspapers, audio-books, music CDs, DVDs, large print books, and our latest addition, eBooks and eAudios. Our Media Center has 8 public computers for research, word processing and Internet access. Our catalog is online and may be accessed from anywhere at www.brockwaylibrary.org .

A BML Library Card is available free-of-charge with a valid picture ID showing a Miami Shores address in municipality number 11. Non-residents are welcome to access our wonderful resources and online materials with an annual fee of $75 per adult and $25 per children under 17. The Book Shop at BML receives hundreds of unique and popular book donations each month which are available for purchase and support our local library. The Miami Shores Village Archives, is currently being digitized in collaboration with Florida International University and can be viewed at dpanther.fiu.edu or by appointment at BML. Stay tuned for our Children's Wing Expansion. Charitable giving (monetary and in-kind) to the library is welcome and tax-deductible as permitted by law.
