📢 “We will not stay silent!” 💪

This powerful moment captures Darlene Slade and Dignity Power standing united on University Blvd and Fort Caroline Rd in Jacksonville, protesting outside a BP gasoline station.

Earlier that week, a young Black woman was brutally attacked by a white man inside the store while the attendant stood by and did nothing. Darlene and the Dignity Power community took action, demanding accountability and justice.

Member Testimonial- “My journey with Dignity Power is very personal. Before starting kindergarten. I saw my mother face the reality of incarceration. I later found myself on a similar path. Those experiences have left deep scars. They also gave me a profound understanding of resilience and the need for second chances. Being apart of Dignity Power allows me to turn those moments of pain into a platform for hope. It’s about showing others that where you start doesn’t define where you can go.”

Member Story –
Meet Jacqueline Cooney, a remarkable individual who turned her challenges into advocacy. Through Dignity Power’s unwavering support, Jacqueline found her voice and the courage to share her story.

Once a daughter navigating the pain of having a detained parent, Jacqueline transformed into a powerful advocate for the incarcerated and their families.

Jacqueline’s journey is a testament to the resilience within us all and the impact we can make when we use our voices for good.
