We are looking for a Seasonal Maintenance Worker to join our team and help keep our beautiful park looking its best. If you love working outdoors and being part of a great community, this is the perfect spot for you!
The Details:
🕒 Hours: 24 hours per week (great for flexibility!)
💰 Starting Pay: $15.00 / hour
🌲 Environment: Beautiful views, fresh air, and a great team.

Duties Include:
Mowing and w**d eating
Helping keep our park clean and welcoming for visitors

🌿 **Basics of Herbal Medications Workshop** 🌿
Ever wondered about the difference between an infusion, a decoction, and a tincture? Want to learn how to harness the natural power of plants? Join us at **Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park** for a hands-on workshop!
In this class, we’ll explore the beneficial properties of different herbs and the solvents used to extract them. Best of all, participants (ages 12 and up) will get to craft their own custom oil infusion to take home, choosing from **lavender, calendula, or chamomile**!

Book your Campsite to participate in the Christmas Village

Missouri's American Indian Cultural Center will be closed Thursday July 9th. This will allow all staff to spray invasive Sericea lespedeza in our prairie reconstruction area. If not sprayed regularly this invasive would take over the area, outcompeting all the native plantings. We apologies for the inconvenience, but as they say many hands make light work and sometimes a project requires all hands on it.

and Abel Van Meter State Park and Celebrate our second Christmas
in July event.
