On D-Day, we remember the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the Allied forces who landed on the beaches of Normandy in defense of freedom.

Their bravery helped secure the liberties we enjoy today and changed the course of history. We honor those who served, those who sacrificed, and those who never came home.

Everywhere I go, I hear the same thing: housing costs too much.

America needs millions of more homes, but builders keep telling me they don’t have enough workers to build them. That’s why the DIGNITY Act is about more than immigration, it’s about making homeownership attainable again.

More workers. More homes. Lower costs. Affordable homes.

Months of painful separation. And today, finally, a reunion. Welcoming Angela and Carlos to my office was one of those moments that reminds you exactly why you serve.

Behind every immigration debate are American families whose lives hang in the balance. Nearly 1.5 million Americans live in mixed-status families. Real people, real pain, real families that deserve so much better.

Congresswoman Veronica Escobar and I have seen these families and heard their stories. That’s why we’re proud to champion the Dignity Act, legislation that would finally provide a humane, commonsense path forward for families like Angela and Carlos. We will keep fighting until we get this right.

The American Dream requires two things: a secure border and the opportunity to own a home.

Today, I joined housing and construction leaders to discuss a reality Washington can no longer ignore: we cannot build the millions of homes America needs without the workforce required to build them.

The DIGNITY Act is a commonsense solution that helps strengthen our workforce, build more homes, lower costs for families, and make the American Dream attainable again.

This isn’t about politics. It’s about economics. it’s about housing affordability. It’s about helping hardworking American families achieve what every generation before them aspired to: a home of their own.

Proud to represent Miami in Washington and honored to stand alongside Secretary Marco Rubio, a proud son of our community who now represents the United States on the world stage.
At a time of great challenges across our hemisphere, we remain steadfast in our commitment to freedom, democracy, and American leadership. The people of South Florida deserve strong voices at the table, and I will never stop fighting for our community and the values we hold dear.

Today, I pressed Secretary Rubio on whether the Venezuela model can be replicated in Cuba.

His answer was clear: the United States will not allow the Castro regime to benefit from American resources, and Cuba’s future cannot be built on the same system that has oppressed the Cuban people for nearly seven decades.

In Miami, we’ve known this for decades: there can be no democratic future for Cuba that leaves the Castro family in power. The Cuban people deserve freedom, democracy, and the opportunity to choose their own future. 🇨🇺🇺🇸
