Celebrating Culture. Creating Memories. Building Belonging.

At His House Children’s Home, Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to celebrate the rich cultures and traditions represented by the children, families, and staff who make up our community.

Through music, food, laughter, and time together, our children, teens, and dedicated staff came together for a beautiful celebration filled with joy, connection, and shared experiences. These special moments allow our children to simply be kids, to celebrate, have fun, and create lasting memories alongside the people who care for them every day.

For children in foster care, these experiences are so important. They provide a sense of normalcy, connection, and belonging while honoring the heritage that is part of who they are. Celebrating together also strengthens the bonds between our children and staff, making our campus community even more meaningful.

At His House, it’s about more than providing a safe place. It’s about creating a home filled with meaningful experiences, genuine connections, and memories that last.

A brother who knows exactly how to make you laugh.

There is something uniquely familiar about growing up with a sibling.

For children entering foster care, preserving that connection can bring an important sense of familiarity and continuity during a season of change.

Today, 682 sibling groups are in foster care across South Florida.

That's why His House continues to need foster families who have the capacity to welcome brothers and sisters together.

It may mean an extra backpack by the door. Another place at the dinner table. More voices in the back seat.

But it can also mean helping siblings continue experiencing childhood side by side.

Sometimes, making a difference in a young person's life looks surprisingly ordinary.

It's asking, "How was your day?" and really listening.
It's saving them a seat at the table. Knowing what snack they like. Helping with homework. Driving them to practice.

Celebrating a good grade - or simply being there when the day didn't go as planned.

Right now, more than 3,000 children are in foster care in South Florida.

Behind that number are children and teens who need what every family understands the value of: consistency, encouragement, connection, and a safe place to land at the end of the day.

You don't need to be extraordinary to become a foster parent.
Sometimes, you just need to be willing to make room for someone in the everyday moments of your life.
