We are a group of concerned Beatles scholars and enthusiasts calling for the rescue and renovation of the Deauville Hotel, a one-of-a-kind Beatles historic site, for the 60th anniversary of their live Ed Sullivan Show appearance on February 16, 2024.

Thank you Martin Vassolo for keeping the Deauville Hotel story current - a shame it's not standing today, 60 years after The Beatles performed there live on the "Ed Sullivan Show"

Folks... we've had a great run here on Facebook. However, we realize that the original intention was focused on saving this historic building. With that being said, this page will be taken down (NOT imploded!) in the next few days. We want to thank everyone who has liked the page, acknowledged the hard work the preservationists have done, and if anything else, honor the memory and events that surrounded The Beatles' time there. Rock on!

From Daniel Ciraldo, July 20: It was a pleasure meeting today with Frank Gehry to discuss a proposal for the Deauville Hotel. I shared with him how I love to point out the New World Symphony and how Frank Gehry was encouraged by the city to invert his more abstract designs to the interior of the building, leaving the outside minimalistic and providing a large wall for wallcasts in the park - a true public benefit. While we may not agree with the Deauville proposal as currently presented (no preservation component), it is still great to know that our city continues to attract leading architects from around the world. Pictured at right is Jack Johnson, chair of the board of the Miami Design Preservation League. MDPL was well represented and certainly got our points across...!

A very good visual showing The Deauville Hotel's timeline and the new notice of Frank Gehry's design.
