Morphine is an opioid that is used to relieve pain and it can also be extremely addictive. Tolerance for morphine develops quickly which leads to a higher risk of getting addicted to it. Morphine addiction is similar to he**in addiction and can be very difficulty to overcome.

Individuals that abuse morphine in high doses are putting themselves at risk of of an overdose. Signs of a morphine overdose can include intense drowsiness, decreased responsiveness, slurred speech, inattention, fever, extreme sleepiness, slowed breathing, lack of movement, spasms, stiffness, and muscle cramps. Morphine overdose can also lead to unconsciousness, coma, and death.

Oxymorphone or also known as opana is used to help relieve moderate to severe pain and belongs to a class of drugs known as opioid analgesic. It also has a high risk of abuse and addiction. Individuals abuse this opioid in different ways like injecting it, snorting it, and oral ingestion.

When oxymorphone is abused, it slows down the functions of the central nervous system that are related to the stress response such as blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing rate. One of the hazards that this opioids has is the per milligram, it is more potent than oxycodone. It can also cause an individual’s breathing rate to slow down too much and stop altogether.

Percocet is an opioid that is prescribed to people that are suffering from chronic pain. It contains oxycodone hydrochloride which influences the brain’s perception of pain and it also contains acetaminophen which inhibits pain-related chemicals in the brain.

Percocet is one of the most commonly abused prescription drugs and it can have serious side effects. Some of these side effects include extreme fatigue, chest pains, hypothermia, slowed heartbeat, shallow breathing, confusion, unusual thoughts or behaviors, seizures, insomnia, visual disturbances, anxiety, depression, nervousness, agitation, hallucinations, and even death.

An individual that is experiencing a fentanyl overdose might experience different symptoms. Some of these might include drowsiness, low blood pressure, dizziness, limp body, nausea, vomiting, cold and clammy skin, decreased heart rate, changes in pupillary size, blue colored lips and fingernails, decreased heart rate, slowed or stopped breathing, coma, and loss of consciousness.

It has been reported that one of the most commonly described characteristics of fentanyl overdose is the rapid speed of onset of symptoms. Reports say that 75% of individuals interviewed said that symptoms of an overdoses occurred within seconds to minutes.
