Daniela’s story is one of healing, and purpose. As a former LSF Miami Bridge youth, she overcame a difficult past, growing up in a domestic violence environment and facing exploitation by someone she once trusted. Through it all, LSF Miami Bridge’s emergency shelter services and counseling became a critical barrier of protection.

Today, Daniela continues to inspire us. As a local nonprofit leader and youth advocate, she uses her voice to uplift others, sharing her journey.

We’re incredibly grateful for the community partners and volunteers who continue to invest their time, talent and heart into supporting the youth and families we serve. 💙

This past year, Liz Alvarez and the LA6 Foundation generously donated the labor and supplies needed to build a new back ramp at our Miami Central Campus, helping improve accessibility while refreshing our space. Through their ongoing support, this past weekend we were also fortunate to welcome volunteers from VOUS Church, who spent time painting the ramp and helping our team sort through clothing donations.

It takes a community to create safe, welcoming environments for youth in need, and we’re thankful for partners who turn compassion into action. Thank you, Liz, LA6 Foundation and VOUS Church, for helping strengthen our campus and our mission. ✨

Thank you to representatives from the Miami-Dade County Mayor’s Office for recently touring LSF Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services’ Miami Central Campus alongside LSF Chairman Lorenzo Cobiella and LSF Vice President of Development Kevin Stamper.

We appreciated the opportunity to connect with Patrick Morris, director of civic and philanthropic partnerships; Michelle Johnson, faith and community leadership manager; and Manny Cid, senior advisor for economic opportunity in Miami-Dade County to share how Miami-Dade’s only emergency shelter for youth ages 6-17 is supporting young people and families through emergency shelter, counseling and prevention services.

Spring at LSF Miami Bridge was filled with learning, laughter and community. 🌸

From a spring baking night at our Miami Central Campus to a free martial arts session that brought both shelters together, our youth have had some incredible experiences this season, all made possible by the generous volunteers and donors who show up for them.

A special thank you to Amy's KB Angels for donating brand new outdoor games and equipment and for organizing an outdoor field day for our youth in March.

Moments like these show our youth that the community sees them, values them and believes in their potential.

You're invited! LSF Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services, Miami-Dade County’s only emergency shelter for youth ages 10 to 17, will host Bridging Hope: An Evening Supporting LSF Miami Bridge on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Americas Collection Art Gallery in Coral Gables.

The free event will bring together community members, supporters and advocates to raise awareness for youth and families in crisis. Attendees will hear firsthand stories from LSF Miami Bridge alumni and view a showcase of original artwork created by youth in the program.

A huge thank you to the team at Il Mercato for bringing their talent and generosity to our Miami Central Campus! 🍝

The young people at LSF Miami Bridge had the opportunity to learn the art of pasta making, guided through a hands-on lasagna class by the Il Mercato team. Experiences like this go beyond the kitchen, they build confidence, teach life skills, and remind our youth that the community is invested in their success.

This message from our parent organization LSF hits close to home.

At LSF Miami Bridge, we are Miami-Dade County's only emergency shelter serving youth ages 10 to 17, and every day we see firsthand what is at stake when families do not have the support they need. From emergency shelter and in-home counseling to family reunification, we work to meet youth and families where they are before a crisis becomes a tragedy.

This Child Abuse Prevention Month, every act of support strengthens the network that protects our most vulnerable children.

For Marquis Mathis, an LSF Miami Bridge Youth Care Specialist, our campuses are more than a place to stay, they are a safe haven for youth facing crisis.

Once a youth in our care, Marquis now pays it forward, showing up each day as a trusted role model for the children he supports. His journey is a powerful reminder that with the right care, guidance and support, young people can overcome challenges and create a brighter path forward.

Families can feel confident knowing their children are cared for by dedicated, compassionate professionals who are committed to their safety and well-being.
