It is with great sadness that the Quapaw Nation Marshal Service shares the passing of Deputy Marshal Sean D. Corbit, who passed away at his home this afternoon around 1:30 p.m.

Sean dedicated his life to public service and faithfully served the Quapaw Nation as a Deputy Marshal for the past 16 years. Throughout his career, he served with honor, professionalism, commitment, and compassion. His service and friendship touched countless lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

During this difficult time, we ask that you please keep Sean’s wife, Erin, and his children in your thoughts and prayers. We also ask that you remember all of Sean’s family and friends, and the entire Quapaw Nation as we mourn this tremendous loss.

Sean has been entrusted to Brown-Winters Funeral Home, and information regarding services will be shared as it becomes available.

Last week was a busy and rewarding week for the Marshal Service.

Marshals attended Law Enforcement First Responder and CPR training instructed by Quapaw Nation Fire/EMS, co-hosted the MMIP Awareness Walk, joined students during STEM Day at Quapaw Public Schools, participated in the Quapaw Nation Trash Pickup Day, and wrapped up the week fishing with students from QPS.

We are proud to serve our community both in and out of uniform and appreciate every opportunity to connect, learn, and give back. Thank you to everyone who helped make these events successful!
