The Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida joins family, friends, and colleagues in mourning the passing of Retired Judge Judith L. Kreeger, who served with distinction on the Circuit Court Bench from 1993 to 2009.

Judge Kreeger devoted 17 and a half years of distinguished service as a Circuit Judge, most of that time in the Family Division. She also served on the Florida Supreme Court’s Steering Committee on Children and Families in the Courts, chairing subcommittees that improved access, case management, and the experience of self represented litigants. Through countless judicial and legal education programs—statewide, national, and international—she guided lawyers, judges, and scholars in understanding family law.

Judge Kreeger was a graduate of Randolph-Macon College and the University of Miami School of Law.

We recently had the honor of hosting a group of judges and attorneys visiting from Lima, Peru to learn about our U.S. justice system.

During their visit, they observed live court proceedings, and participated in a Q&A session with Judges Laura Gonzalez‑Marques and Ritamaria Gonzalez Cuervo on criminal law.

We wish our visitors continued success in their legal careers back home and look forward to welcoming them again in the future.

Our Judges attended the 2026 Florida Conference of Circuit Judges Education Program in Orlando, taking time away from the bench to study emerging legal issues and connect with colleagues statewide.

Several of our judges also lent their legal expertise serving as faculty, teaching on topics from dependency and delinquency to criminal and family law, and emerging AI issues.

Deputy Chief Judge Gina Beovides received the Chief Justice Award for Judicial Excellence, and Judge Victoria del Pino was honored as outgoing conference chair and presented with a flag flown over the Osvaldo N. Soto Miami‑Dade Justice Building on the nation’s 250th anniversary.

Congratulations to the honorees on their well‑deserved recognition!
