THE HONORABLE DANIEL PEREZ, ESQ.
U.S. AMBASSADOR TO BRAZIL
Former Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives and Miami-Dade County State Legislative Delegation Member
Confirmed by the U.S. Senate as U.S. Ambassador to Brazil

Ambassador Daniel “Danny” Perez is a first-generation Cuban American. Very early in his life, he embraced the values of the American dream, hard work, perseverance, and service to others.

Speaker Perez’s family moved to Florida in 1993 and settled in Westchester, Miami-Dade County. He attended Columbus High School, Florida State University and obtained a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.

Since his election to the Florida House of Representatives in 2017, and a member of the Miami-Dade County State Legislative Delegation, Speaker Perez has been a strong advocate for education, healthcare, child welfare, HOA reforms, Homeowners Rights and the well-being of communities throughout Miami-Dade County and across Florida.

As he is confirmed by the U.S. Senate to represent the United States in Brazil, we are confident he will serve with distinction, strengthen the relationship between our countries, and advance American interests with wisdom, dignity, and professionalism.

The Miami-Dade County State Legislative Delegation extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to Ambassador Daniel Perez, Esq.
