I am in search of a free to very low cast 200 amp breaker box for some that had a house fire and is now in alternative housing.

Last week we were able to add one more legal driver back in the workforce of Oklahoma. He was so excited. He had never had a license before and now opportunities are already opening for him. Please support us in supporting others in their journey of recovery.

Also remember that there is a cold weather station at 600 N. Olive street in North Miami. If someone needs help look them up on The Good Neighbor Project, or you can contact me.

Good afternoon,
I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting developments at **Turning Point Sober Living and Transitional Housing, Inc.** here in Miami, Oklahoma.
Since opening our doors in 2023, we have provided safe, structured housing to **more than 125 individuals** working to rebuild their lives. Many have successfully returned home to their families, while others have begun independent new journeys. Along the way, we’ve helped **12 individuals obtain their driver’s licenses**, including one client who had been suspended for 34 years—removing a major barrier to employment and independence.
I am currently working with **The Fletcher Group (Kentucky, USA) ** to become a certified **Employment Coach**. This will allow us to build strong relationships with local employers and provide them with a **dependable, job-ready workforce**. In collaboration with **Workforce Oklahoma**, we will also address one of the greatest challenges in rural communities**transportation**by helping individuals get to and from work consistently.
Looking ahead to **2026**, we are launching a **12-week Adult Education and Workforce Development Program** in partnership with **Northeastern Tech in Afton, Oklahoma**. This program will combine:
* Substance abuse recovery support
* Life skills development
* Career and technical training
* Job placement in high-demand fields such as **welding and heavy equipment operation*
Through partnerships with the **Good Neighbor Coalition**, **Good Neighbor Project**, and **Workforce Oklahoma**, we can cover training, transportation, and food costs. However, we are seeking support to help bridge remaining gaps—specifically:

* **Housing costs during training**
* Essential work equipment such as:
* Safety-toe boots
* Welding gloves
* Eye protection
* Safety vests and work gloves
Your support would directly impact on individuals who are motivated, committed, and ready to work—while also strengthening the local workforce and economy.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our mission. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can partner together to create lasting change. Pleas visit our website at www.tpslmiamiok.com We accept donations via PayPal, GoFundMe, and Venmo.

Sincerely,
Terry A. Wilson

We are coming to the end of the year! The holiday week has been going well so far. I can tell that some of the guys are getting restless and are eager to return back to a normal schedule.

Something great that I have been working on is becoming an employment coach and in 2026 that should help me help others is seeking and gaining meaningful employment.

I am working on starting a 12 week adult education program for new clients that want to participate. This program will open doors to clients in high demand jobs, such as welders, heavy equipment operators, and possibly a certified nursing assistant.

I have the cost of the classes covered, I have the costs of transportation covered, and some of the food costs covered. What I will need help on is the cost of lodging. These clients will be considered full time students.

I will try to get something posted on the Turning Point website as soon as possible. If you want to be a part of this incredible journey, please do not hesitate to reach out.

The last couple of months have been interesting to say the least. We have seen some great successes and some great challenges.

We had a couple of guys graduate drug court, and one of them got to move back home with his family. The other started a new job soon after, and so far it seems to be going well.

We helped one of the ladies from the ladies sober living house get their drivers license back. That makes 11 people so far!

We did have one guy that has come upon some rough times, but he is determined to stay sober and move forward.

I had someone ask me what makes Turning Point different from the other programs? Right away I start to think of policies and client relationships, and that is a big part of it, but there is something else. One of the big subjects that comes up in recovery a lot is the subject of accountability. Each person is accountable for there own actions, whether it be positive or negative based on a choice they made. I think one thig different about Turning Point is that if the client looses, I usually also loose. More than just emotion or a sense of failure, but it actually cost me income. I am accountable to help them as much as I can.

I need a person that can fix a washing machine.

Would anyone be interested in donating 3 buckets of this floor epoxy to us? They are $173 at Menards.

Over the last year or so I have had to listen to people tell me how to run Turning Point. I should do this or that, or I can't do this or that! I do listen to people's suggestions, I think about them, I discuss them with my business partner, and I pray a lot!

All these experts in running rehabs and sober livings that tell me how I should be doing things, all have one thing in common. "What is that?" you might ask!

The answer is, none of them have a vested interest in the business, not a nickel. Their retirement is not invested, their credit is not on the line, they are not at risk of losing everything they have for a bunch of junkies, boozers and homeless lazy bums that they have never met before.

The cost of running this place on a good month where nothing gets broken is about 10K a month. Why so much you ask? For example, when we started the business our utilities bills were about $600 a month, as soon as I told the city we had our 501 c 3 status our bill doubled and has continued to climb to nearly $3k a month. Insurance is a $1000 a month. I even got charged at the special non-profit rate for a fire system repair of $1500 for an actual $20 part.

Keep in mind, that we do not receive any support from the state of Oklahoma, the federal government, any major donors, or collect insurance. A church did give us a $1000 in the beginning, my mom and aunt have donated, a couple of folks have donated $20 here and there, but the majority of the funds come from the clients, myself, and a lot from my business partner. We charge $150 a week and that gets them a bed, a room, a shower, access to a kitchen, rides to work, internet, TV, clean sheets, a place to wash their clothes, everything anyone needs.

My offer to anyone that wants to have a say in how things are done here, you will have that chance! All you need to do is donate $100k, which is a fraction of what my partner put in, and you will have a seat on the board. You can introduce policy, vote on it, have your ideas heard and seriously considered, the status of being a board member, a hero to other people in your church, all the glory and fame that comes with it!

I will be in search of a local contractor that can remove the old carpet from the main living areas of the facility and replace it with a durable, decorative epoxy resin.

I would like for this to be a local contractor!

Keeping our community thriving!
