We’re proud to partner with United Way Miami through the Citizen Review Panel (CRP) program, a partnership with roots that go all the way back to the beginning of Florida Foster Care Review! 💙

In 1988, United Way of Miami created a community task force to identify solutions for children who were languishing in foster care or falling through the cracks of an overwhelmed child welfare system. That work helped lay the foundation for what would become Florida Foster Care Review and the Citizen Review Panel model in Miami. In 1989, Foster Care Review, Inc. was incorporated and held its first review hearing.

Today, that vision continues through Citizen Review Panels, where dedicated community volunteers listen to each child’s story, monitor their progress, make recommendations for critical services and resources, and identify barriers to permanency.

This is what United Way Miami’s Blueprint for Impact looks like in action: real partners, real programs, real change for families across Miami-Dade.

Together, we’re building a community where every child has the opportunity to be heard, supported, and on the path to a forever family.

Young leaders making a real difference 💙

We are incredibly grateful to the students of the Pembroke Pines Charter High School Model United Nations Club for supporting Florida Foster Care Review through their JAGMUN III conference this weekend.

During the two-day conference, students sold candy grams and collected donations from their fellow student delegates, raising $449 for FFCR! 🎉

What makes this gift especially meaningful is where it came from: high school students choosing to give back and support youth in foster care.

To everyone who participated: thank you for showing us what compassion, leadership, and service look like. Your generosity will help us continue advocating for children and youth impacted by foster care. 💙
