Today, we celebrated the topping-out of the future City of Miami Administration Building, which will soon stand right here in District 1 at Freedom Park.

Bringing City departments together under one roof will help improve efficiency, enhance collaboration, reduce energy costs, and allow us to better serve our residents.

A special thank you to the hardworking construction crews whose dedication is making this project a reality.

Hoy celebramos el topping out del futuro Edificio Administrativo de la Ciudad de Miami, que estará ubicado aquí mismo, en el Distrito 1, dentro de Freedom Park.

Contar con un solo edificio para las operaciones de la Ciudad permitirá trabajar de manera más eficiente, mejorar la coordinación entre departamentos, ahorrar energía y brindar un mejor servicio a nuestros residentes.

Illegal dumping is a violation of the law and will not be tolerated. If you are caught dumping trash or debris illegally, you will face significant fines and enforcement action.

Our District 1 team responded quickly to remove this debris and restore the area for residents and pedestrians.

Help us keep our community clean by disposing of waste properly and reporting illegal dumping if you see it in action at 911 or after the fact at 311 for investigation and clean up.

Nuestro equipo del Distrito 1 respondió de inmediato para recoger los escombros y devolver este espacio limpio y seguro para todos.

Ayúdanos a mantener nuestros vecindarios limpios. Si ves a alguien botando basura ilegalmente, llama al 911. Si encuentras basura tirada ilegalmente después de que ocurrió, repórtalo al 311 para que se investigue y para limpieza.

Exciting progress is being made as the Miami River Greenway continues to expand.

With 8 out of 10 miles of the Greenway already complete, the next phase will connect NW 24th Ave to NW 19th Ave.

This project is creating more opportunities for residents to enjoy walking, biking, and spending time along the river.

It was a joy to see children from District 1 spend the day fishing, learning new skills, and enjoying the outdoors. Every child deserves opportunities to explore, grow, and simply have fun, and we’re grateful to everyone who helped make this special trip possible.

Fue una alegría ver a los niños del Distrito 1 disfrutar de un día de pesca, aprender nuevas habilidades y disfrutar del aire libre. Our Fourth of July celebrations continued at Bayfront Park 🇺🇸✨

From live music and fireworks to spending time with families, friends, and neighbors, it was a night that truly reflected the spirit of our community.

It was also a privilege to present the Voice of Freedom Award to the legendary W***y Chirino.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it a memorable celebration.
