This morning, at the start of Commission Day, I was honored to present a proclamation recognizing Eleazar Soriano for his artistic career and contributions to Hispanic culture, the arts, and the Miami community. ✨

Thank you, Eleazar, for sharing your talent and celebrating our culture through your art! 🎨

We also honored Chief Hevia and our firefighters in recognition of Fire Prevention Month. We are always grateful for their dedication, bravery, and everything they do to keep our community safe. 🚒

✨ Ya sea que necesite ayuda para inscribirse o tenga preguntas sobre el Pasaporte Dorado, el Transporte Bajo Demanda o STS, equipos de varios departamentos estarán disponibles para orientarle.

Thank you to Gale Nelson for welcoming our office to tour Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, located right here in District 1!

It was inspiring to see firsthand how this organization puts our children first and provides them with the guidance, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive and succeed. I truly enjoyed learning more about the incredible work being done in our community.

Congratulations as well to Gale on becoming the new voice of the Miami HEAT—what an incredible accomplishment!

If you are interested in becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister, I encourage you to reach out and take the first step toward making a difference in a young person’s life. Thank you again for having us!
