As the World Cup kicks off today, we’re reflecting on a memorable panel discussion hosted earlier this year, where students had the opportunity to hear from leaders helping shape the future of the world’s most celebrated sporting event.

Representing FIFA were Lynne Carrillo de la Camara ’93, director of commercial legal, and Vanessa Travieso, head of content and media. Joining them were President and CEO Alina Hudak and Chief Marketing and Community Officer Janelle Prieto ’01 of the Miami Host Committee, who are helping position Miami on the global stage as a host city for the tournament.

From careers in sports, media and event management to the impact of hosting a global event, students gained valuable insight into the many opportunities surrounding the World Cup and the role Miami will play in welcoming the world.

Our campers at Volleyball Camp are hard at work on the court, practicing passing drills and perfecting their spikes.

From sharpening their technique to building confidence in every play, these athletes are developing the skills and teamwork that make the game so exciting.

This week, we are excited to welcome members of the Class of 2030 to the Bobcat Prep Program, an initiative designed to help students make a smooth and confident transition into high school life.
