🏠 UPLIFT’s Parent Circle Tackles Housing Stability

Stable housing can make a meaningful difference in a family’s sense of security and well-being.

UPLIFT recently welcomed Miami Homes for All for a Rent Ready and Security Deposit Assistance Workshop, where parents and caregivers learned about the rental process, housing requirements, budgeting, and available financial assistance.

Families left with answers to important questions and a clearer understanding of how to prepare a strong rental application.

Through partnerships like this, UPLIFT’s Parent Circle connects families with practical resources and a wider circle of support as they work toward greater housing stability.

GA's Project M-PACT is looking for caring, committed mentors in Broward County to walk alongside youth ages 10–17 as they build confidence, make healthier choices, and navigate the challenges of growing up.

When Healing Becomes a Community Effort

Healing is easier when no one has to do it alone. Trauma doesn’t always look obvious, but it can affect how families talk, listen, and relate to each other every day.

Last month, GA's CAATS partnered with COS-P and UPLIFT to host four Family Resource Nights focused on understanding trauma and what healing can look like in real life.

Each night was designed to feel gentle and low-pressure. A short docuseries helped families see how trauma can show up at home, at school, and in relationships, and how recovery often happens one small step at a time.

These gatherings are a reminder of what GA stands for: healing moves faster when a whole community is willing to listen, support, and walk alongside families with purpose.
