Bringing the Marine Corps Officer Program to collegiate athletics! 💪🇺🇸

It’s been a great opportunity to work alongside student-athletes across South Florida, challenging them through workouts focused on teamwork, leadership, communication, and mental toughness.

The same qualities that make a great teammate are essential to becoming a great Marine Corps Officer. It’s always motivating to see these athletes step outside their comfort zones, compete, and lead.

Not every law student earns the title Marine.

Congratulations to 2ndLt Justin Weicholz on graduating from Officer Candidates School and earning his commission as a United States Marine Officer.

This fall, 2ndLt Weicholz returns to St. Thomas University College of Law to begin his 3L year as he continues his journey toward serving as a U.S. Marine Corps Judge Advocate.

Whether in the courtroom or leading Marines, Judge Advocates are officers first—leading from the front while upholding the highest standards of justice and service.

Congratulations, 2ndLt Weicholz. Miami is proud of you, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish next.

Earn your law degree. Lead Marines. Become a Judge Advocate.

The smile says it all.

Candidate De Andrade, a student at Florida International University, just completed her first six-week increment at Officer Candidates School. While OCS is known for its challenges, long days, and demanding standards, she continues to tackle every obstacle with determination and that signature Miami heat!

Not everyone can earn the opportunity to attend OCS, and even fewer have what it takes to succeed there. Candidate De Andrade is proving that hard work, resilience, and a positive attitude can carry you a long way.

If you’re a college student in Miami and have ever wondered if becoming a Marine Officer is possible, this could be you. The journey starts with a conversation.

Congratulations on reaching this milestone, Candidate De Andrade. Keep smiling and keep charging forward.

Friday’s workout with the FAU Women’s Track & Field team was outstanding from start to finish 💪🔥 The effort was high, the mindset was locked in, and the standard never dropped. They competed through every rep, pushed each other when it got uncomfortable, and showed exactly what it means to be disciplined, resilient athletes. The energy and toughness they brought made for a great session. Proud of the way they showed up, worked together, and delivered 🏃‍♀️🏆

Putting in work early this morning in Miami — miles on the sand, a HIIT session, and time spent learning techniques that matter as you prepare for the next level.

Building future Marine Officers doesn’t happen by accident, it takes consistency, discipline, and people willing to show up and uphold the standard. Proud of the effort and commitment from everyone who put in the work today.

A sincere thank you to the Lieutenants who have been out here the past two weeks assisting, mentoring, and leading from the front. Your time, leadership, and example make a real difference in shaping the next generation.

This process is earned, not given.
