Property Appraiser Tomás Regalado had the honor of representing Miami-Dade during the 56th General Assembly of the Organization of American States in Panama.

This important gathering reaffirmed the strong relationship between Panama and South Florida, a key partnership that promotes trade, investment, and economic opportunities for our communities.

The event also served as a meaningful moment to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States and to recognize how the cause of freedom for Cuba continues to be part of the hemispheric dialogue.

We extend our sincere thanks to CAMACOL for organizing this valuable mission and to Ambassador Kevin Cabrera for graciously hosting the delegation at his residence.

Our office remains committed to strengthening relationships that create opportunities and benefit the residents of Miami-Dade.



El Tasador de Propiedades Tomás Regalado tuvo el honor de representar a Miami-Dade durante la 56.ª Asamblea General de la Organización de los Estados Americanos en Panamá.

Este importante encuentro reafirmó la estrecha relación entre Panamá y el sur de la Florida, una alianza clave para promover el comercio, la inversión y oportunidades económicas para nuestras comunidades.

An inspiring and meaningful meeting with participants of the Allapattah Community Center, under the leadership of Miryan Urra.

Property Appraiser Tomás Regalado had the opportunity to listen to residents’ concerns, share important information, and discuss the constitutional amendment on property tax relief that voters will decide on the November 3 ballot.

During the conversation, he also highlighted the potential benefits this amendment could bring to millions of residents and the positive impact it could have on families throughout our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated for your engagement, thoughtful questions, and commitment to the issues that shape the future of our county.

It is with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of Michael “Mike” Carricarte, an extraordinary individual whose life was defined by service, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to our community.

A proud United States Army veteran, Mike embodied the values of honor, dedication, and integrity throughout his life. After serving our nation, he continued to make a meaningful difference in South Florida through his business leadership and his unwavering support of numerous civic and community initiatives.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Mike will remember his ability to bring people together, his generosity of spirit, and his genuine concern for the well-being of others. His example of service and commitment leaves a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.

On behalf of the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser’s Office and myself personally, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May they find comfort in the remarkable legacy he leaves behind and in the profound respect and admiration he earned from all who had the opportunity to know him.

During 'De buena Fuente con Marian' on Univista TV, Property Appraiser Tomás Regalado explained that the constitutional amendment on property tax relief could help homeowners reduce a significant portion of their property tax burden, while residents would still continue contributing to the school system.
