One amendment. Two major changes for Florida property owners. 🏡

Amendment 3 addresses both Homestead and qualifying Non-Homestead properties. If approved by voters, it would expand the Homestead Exemption for non-school property taxes and lower the annual assessment increase cap for qualifying Non-Homestead properties.

La Enmienda 3 incluye cambios tanto para propiedades con Homestead como para propiedades Non-Homestead que califiquen. What could Amendment 3 change for Florida property owners? 🏡

If approved by voters, Amendment 3 would increase the Homestead Exemption for non-school property taxes to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028. It would also reduce the annual assessment cap for qualifying non-homestead properties from 10% to 5%. School district taxes would remain.

Florida voters will decide Amendment 3 on November 3, 2026.



¿Qué podría cambiar la Enmienda 3 para los propietarios de Florida? 🏡

Si es aprobada por los votantes, la Enmienda 3 aumentaría la Exención de Vivienda Principal para impuestos no escolares a $150,000 en 2027 y $250,000 en 2028. También reduciría de 10% a 5% el límite anual de aumento del valor tasado para propiedades Non-Homestead que califiquen. Los impuestos escolares permanecerían.

Opa-locka residents received one-on-one property assistance right in their community. 🏡

Property Appraiser Tomás Regalado and City of Opa-locka Commissioner Luis B. Santiago brought our team to Sherbondy Village Community Center, where residents reviewed their property values and applied for Homestead, Senior, Disability, and other available exemptions.

Supporting greater access and civic participation for Miami-Dade’s neurodiverse community. 🗳️

Property Appraiser Tomás Regalado participated in the Empowering Neurodiverse Voters & Expanding Civic Participation press conference, joining elected officials, community leaders, and organizations in an event focused on making the electoral process more accessible and inclusive for eligible neurodiverse voters.

The event brought together resources and community partners working to help residents participate independently and confidently.
