The Consulate General of The Bahamas in Miami is pleased to announce the introduction of Bahamas Immigration Services, commencing 10 August 2026.

Eligible persons within our jurisdiction may now request appointments for citizenship interviews, registration of children, confirmation of citizenship and other approved immigration matters.

Services are available by appointment only. Please contact the Consulate for scheduling and document requirements.

The Bahamian community across South Florida gathered in worship and thanksgiving at The Church of the Incarnation, Miami Florida as we commemorated the 53rd Anniversary of the independence of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Our Ecumenical Service reminded us that, although our journeys may take us far from our shores, faith remains our compass, service our calling, and The Bahamas our home. As the Prime Minister aptly reflected, we are called not only to pursue opportunity, but to become a blessing wherever God has planted us.

To every Bahamian throughout our jurisdiction and across the world, thank you for representing our nation with integrity, resilience, and love. Your contributions continue to strengthen our communities abroad while shaping a brighter future for the country we proudly call home.

As we celebrate our heritage, may we remain united in faith, steadfast in service, and committed to building a stronger Bahamas, for this generation and the next. CG McKenzie

The Bahamas Consulate General in Miami was pleased to attend the Fifth Annual Bahamas Diaspora Banquet and Awards Ceremony, held at the Hyatt Regency Miami.

Founded by noted Bahamian Andy Ingraham, the evening was headlined by Prime Minister the Honourable Philip Davis and featured performances by the Exuma Community Band and CAPAS students, the new performing arts school in The Bahamas.

The Consulate congratulates this year’s seven honourees: Keith Glinton, Philip Simon, Aisha Bowe, City of Miramar Commissioner Avril Cherasard, Vena Symonette-Johnson, Hartley Thompson and Luther Campbell. The evening was expertly hosted by Master of Ceremonies Jerry Butler.

It was truly a wonderful celebration of Bahamian excellence, culture and community in South Florida.

Consul General McKenzie was pleased to join the Bahamas Diaspora Association for its 5th Annual Bahamas Diaspora Independence Awards Dinner, celebrating 53 years of Bahamian Independence.

The evening reflected a shared message of faith, service and purpose. As the Prime Minister reminded us, every blessing brings a responsibility to uplift others, while Consul General Tyson K. McKenzie invoked Sankofa—drawing on the lessons of our past as we shape our future.

It was a pleasure to welcome the Exuma Community Youth Band to the Consulate General of The Bahamas in Miami during their band camp in SIt was a pleasure to welcome the Exuma Community Youth Band to the Consulate General of The Bahamas in Miami during their band camp in S Florida.

Our courtesy call provided an opportunity to engage with these talented young Bahamians, who continue to exemplify discipline, excellence, and national pride through music. We commend Inspector Burrows, the Directors, chaperones, and supporters for investing in our youth and exposing them to opportunities that broaden their horizons.

The Consulate extends its best wishes to the band for continued success and congratulates them on representing The Bahamas with distinction at the Goombay Festival.
