The Great Lakes shrine Association parade scheduled today for 11 a.m. has been canceled due to the rain.

On Thursday, September 10th, Miamisburg High School held its annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

This event took place at Holland Field, where first responders, students, teachers and community members united to pay tribute to all the lives lost and impacted by one of the most difficult days in American history.

Miamisburg Police Chief Mike Brem reflects on that somber day and recounts his location when he first learned of the attack.

Today and every day, the City of Miamisburg remembers the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders and hold the victims, survivors and affected families in our thoughts.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the heroes, honor those we lost and carry their memory forward.

Always remember. Never forget.

Tonight at 6 p.m. at Holland Field, come together with first responders, students, teachers and your community for the 5th Annual 9/11 Stair Climb at Miamisburg High School.

This event honors the lives lost and the heroes who stepped up during one of the most challenging days in American history.

All stair climbers must be at least 12 years old and climbing is required since there is no designated viewing area. Participants under 15 must be accompanied by an adult who can also climb.

Be sure bring your dancing shoes and grab a DORA drink from Jayne's On Main or TJ Chumps or one of the many establishments in Historic Downtown Miamisburg.

In recognition of Labor Day, the Miamisburg Civic Center, Community Center and other city offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 and will reopen on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 8 a.m.

As a result of the holiday, trash collection and recycling will be delayed by one-day.

Essential services, such as the Fire District and police will continue to operate.
